April 4, 2017 – Ann Arbor, Mich. – With deepest regrets, Stout Systems announces the passing of John W. Stout, Founder and President of Stout Systems Development, Inc. John was diagnosed with cancer in June of 2016. He put up a valiant fight against the disease, which eventually became resistant to treatment.
John was very proud of the company he built, and he took great care to ensure that the organization was in a position to continue without him. Stout Systems will remain a family-owned business, and it will continue to operate with the same customer-focused mission and values that John instilled. Peg Bogema, who has been at John’s side as Vice President of Operations since the company was founded, will move into the role of President. She has overseen day-to-day operations since John fell ill, and will continue to do so moving forward. The company’s commitment to serving its customers is unchanged, and we look forward to a long and productive future.
There will be a memorial gathering celebrating John’s life on Sunday, April 23rd 2017 at 2pm. Anyone who was touched by John in his professional life is warmly invited to attend. The celebration will begin at 2pm. There will be a presentation by the University of Michigan Marching Band at approximately 3pm.
The gathering will be at:
Jack Roth Stadium Club
1201 S Main Street
