Technical Documentation Capabilities

At Stout Systems, we have in-house documentation and desktop publishing expertise. We also have a large pool of contract documentation personnel from which to draw.

Our collective experience covers the broad range of technical documentation skills:

• requirements documents, including the know-how required to conduct Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to discover requirements
• design documents

• end-user training manuals, in both printed and electronic formats
• on-line help systems
• training materials
• design and layout
• graphics and charting

As you might expect, the tools we have used on projects are varied. We have experience with Word, FrameMaker, PageMaker, Visio, PaintShop Pro, PhotoShop, Illustrator, various online help development tools including RoboHelp, RoboHTML and others, PowerPoint and other presentation software. These are just a few of the common tools we've used and doesn't even begin to cover the obscure tools.

Our subject matter expertise runs the gamut from manufacturing and engineering to business and retail. We are usually able to provide our clients with writers who have direct or closely related subject matter experience, thereby reducing the spin-up time required to get into production.

We work on site or off, depending upon the nature of the project and the preferences of the client.
