Stout Systems finds candidates for direct hire positions,
short-term and long-term contracts. There are no fees to you for our
service.
This is usually how we handle your resume when you
it to us: Any resume sent to us is typically reviewed
within 48 hours. If we find you are a good match for an open
position or contract, or for a typical position, we contact you to
begin our screening process. Otherwise, we let you know that we
don't feel we have a position that is a match for you at this time.
You should feel free to visit our jobs listing regularly and
to resubmit your resume if a new position opens that does look like
a good fit.
Your profile Our first interview with you consists of
general questions about your experience and requirements. We
accomplish this using our online profile system. We send you an
email that contains a unique link to your profile page. It usually
takes about ten to fifteen minutes to set up your online profile. If
you are an independent contractor applying for a contract
opening, we ask questions concerning your background and track
record as a contractor.
The technical screening After reviewing your online
profile, if it appears your background matches one of our current
openings, we will do another interview called a technical screening,
which consists of a series of technical questions to determine if
your skills match the position. The technical interview is often
conducted over the phone. Some people consider it to be a test. Our
interest isn't in rating your skills on a pass/fail basis; it's in
getting to know you better so that we can properly represent your
technical skills to our clients. In some cases we request additional
information by email, such as a portfolio of design work or a
questionnaire about your managerial experience. The goal is still to
understand your skills better so that we can properly represent you
to our clients.
Submitting your resume to a client If we feel you are a
good match for a position, we will discuss it with you in more
detail. We do not submit resumes without checking with you
first. (Note that we will not submit your resume to a company if you
tell us you have also submitted it to that company recently).
Interviews If the company expresses an interest, we set up
your interview in accordance with the company's standard
interview procedures. Some companies conduct more than one
interview. In any case, we will be with you every step of the way
until you receive and accept an offer letter.
If you are looking for a contract In the case of contract
work, the early interview stages are similar in that we gather
information about your background and qualifications. There are more
business issues to consider, and each contract situation is
different.
Your business references Upon completion of our internal
interviews, we request that you send us the names and contact
information for your references. Normally, we don't contact your
references until quite late in the interview process with our
clients. In any case, we don't contact references until after you
have given us the go-ahead to do so.
Resumes on file Because we use state of the art
software tools to assist in our recruiting activities, we can scan
through resumes to rapidly identify candidates who match current
position requirements. If we don't have an opening for you
immediately, we may in the near future.
Privacy Policy Your information, including your
resume, your profile, your technical interview results and your
references, is private. We do not share it with anyone without your
express permission, on a company by company basis. Furthermore, we
do not contact your references or share their contact
information with anyone without your express
permission.
