May 15, 2017 – Ann Arbor, Mich. – Stout Systems, a leader in both the software engineering consulting and technical staffing sectors, is pleased to announce the next in a series of free educational workshops geared towards Software Development Managers and those responsible for managing software projects.
During the course of Stout’s business, they often find themselves supporting an “Accidental or Reluctant Software Development Manager”—someone who has been thrust into the role of managing a development team due to their domain expertise and/or technical acumen, but often against their wishes and with no formal training in the unique challenges of that role. Stout has formulated this series of workshops with this group in mind. Each session will cover territory that, in many settings, everyone on the development team assumes is understood—but often is not—thereby creating a great deal of inefficiency and unnecessary chaos within the project. Each workshop has been designed to be both educational and enlightening, and to provoke thoughtful discussion that will help attendees improve their effectiveness in managing software teams and projects.
“We are always looking for ways to give back to the technical community, and to the loyal customer base that has been the key to our success for 20+ years,” said the company’s President, Peg Bogema. “Software development is one of the most rapidly changing of all professions, and we’ve learned many valuable lessons during the course of our existence. We felt that we could provide a significant value to our constituents if we offered them the opportunity to share in these lessons and learn from our most experienced technologists and managers.”
