| Description: Are you looking for a real time/embedded systems contract opportunity in Silicon Valley? You will be part of a team developing real time embedded software to control image beamformation in our client's premium medical ultrasound products. Apply your technical knowledge and experience to analyze, design, implement, and document control software and DSP software that drive the imaging capabilities of a new ultrasound imaging system. Frequent interactions with internal customers such as acoustic engineers, hardware engineers, image analysis engineers and applications software engineers will be necessary. Critical requirements: (1) Minimum BSEE/BS Physics, or equivalent. (2) 5+ years embedded software design and maintenance experience, including interface design and debugging on target hardware. (3) 3+ years software development experience in C++ with Windows or UNIX operating Systems. (4) Experience with objected-oriented technologies. (5) 3+ years DSP development experience. (6) Embedded system debugging (7) Working experience with configuration management and software release process. (8) U.S. Citizen. Highly Desired: (1) Knowledge or experience in ultrasound applications or image beamformation. Soft Skills: Strong drive. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Team player. Ability to lead a team. This is a one-year contract in Silicon Valley. Hourly rate from $40/hour to $45/hour, commensurate with experience. For the duration of this contract, you will be a Stout Systems W-2 employee.
