This position requires travel to client sites (Illinois, Missouri, Virginia) on a weekly basis (100% on-site).
The PM will lead a team of up to 8 on-shore and off-shore engineers. He or she will work closely with the client managers, business analysts and engineers for the implementation and administration of the ERP consolidation project.

Up to $50/hr (commensurate with skills and experience) plus reimbursement for travel expenses
REQUIRED
- Minimum five years' experience in Technical Project Management
- 10+ years in progressively increasing roles with proven experience working with business processes and ERP technologies
- Fluent in Microsoft Project
- Since this is a 12-month contract, strong consulting experience required
PREFERRED
- PMP Certification preferred
- Experience with B2B, EDI, ERP and integration system management is highly desired
OVERVIEW
- Able and willing take ownership of a complex solution, both a technical level and project level
- Will be expected to lead discussions and write technical white papers as required (excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal)
- Will be leading people working remotely and drive results from them
- Off-hours work is expected in order to accommodate team members working across time zones
- Gather facts, define objectives, and develop schedule and deadlines for the project
- Develop a schedule for project milestones, maintain project scope, set task deadlines, monitor staff progress, develop and communicate project status
- Develop team goals and objectives to complete the project within prescribed resource limits and in accordance with client requirements and departmental standards
- Provide guidance to team members and mentor staff to progress on technical and functional skills
- Present project proposals and communicate plans, status reports and final results to senior level management
- Identify, log and manage issues and risks; take corrective action as needed
- Manage project scope and change control process
- Maintain documentation (e.g. schedules, requirements, meeting minutes and status reports) in a project repository
