We are searching for a Systems or Network Engineer to join a six-member team working in the data center that supports our client's business as well as its subsidiary organizations.

This role may be a good fit if you have a background and experience in any of the following:

*Linux (an enterprise version such as CentOS or Redhat)
*Windows
*Virtualization (VMWare or Hyper-V)
*Networking (they use the Cisco family of products)

LOCATION
Ann Arbor, MI

COMPENSATION
75K-100K depending on how broad and deep your experience is

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• The ideal candidate will have come from a 24X7 operation that must be up all the time. As such, someone from a small shop won't be a good prospect for this role, and neither would someone from an extremely large corporation where engineers tend be too silo'ed.
• You must be available to be on call 24/7 for one week every 5 or 6 weeks. This will lessen as the team is built out.
• Experience in some or all of the following:
  *Linux (an enterprise version such as CentOS or Redhat)
  *Windows
  *Virtualization (VMWare or Hyper-V)
  *Networking (they use the Cisco family of products)

RESPONSIBILITIES (DEPENDING ON YOUR SKILL SET)

• The design, execution, and monitoring of the WAN software running in multiple colocation centers.
• Hands-on involvement with deployment
• Upgrades of OS, Application Servers, and Libraries
• Security and disaster recovery preparedness
• Network design
• Network performance and redundancy
• Detailed understanding of load balancing
• Create or update high level network diagrams including circuits, physical maps and logical topology
