REQUIRED FOR BUILD TECHNICIAN - VACUUM SPACE OPERATIONS
- Associate's degree in a technical field and 5+ years' experience in a related role OR vocational training and 10+ years' experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using control systems and human machine interfaces (HMIs)
- Proficient using MS Office product suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Hands-on individual with the ability to work on your feet for several hours daily
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
ANY OF THE FOLLOWING WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with glass, solar panels, coatings, or fabricated glass
- Experience with robotics
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Work with laboratory technicians to learn the fundamental science and process steps required to fabricate a small scale prototype unit.
- Assist in specifying, sourcing and installing equipment required for the rapid prototyping line.
- Operate equipment and oversee processes for vacuum operations, including health and safety, equipment preventative maintenance and materials compliance.
- Assist in definition of Design of Experiments (DOEs), executing the DOEs, coordinating testing and evaluation of DOEs, and summarizing key DOE findings.
- Take the lead in equipment and process troubleshooting and failure analysis for vacuum operations.
- Help develop analytical test methods, procedures, and metrology infrastructure to support vacuum operations in collaboration with the Test and Analytics Manager.
- Cross-train with other Build Technicians to develop competency in all prototype line operations and fill in for other technicians as required.
