We are searching for a Software Engineer to work with a certified LabVIEW Architect in the continuing development of a specialized laser-based inspection system.

LOCATION
Ann Arbor, MI.
COMPENSATION
Up to 80-85K range
REQUIRED
- Bachelors Degree required with 3+ years relevant work experience.
- Minimum 3+ years experience and programming/coding in LabVIEW including design with LabVIEW Real-Time and Embedded.
- Proficiency in data acquisition, signal conditioning, data communication and system interface design.
- Ability to translate specifications and functional descriptions into working LabVIEW code and intuitive interfaces.
- Strong debugging and commissioning skills and demonstrated ability to follow test plans for complex software.
- Must be able to handle equipment and/or product weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
PREFERRED
- 2+ years experience and programming in C, C++, C#, Visual Basic or Python are desired.
- LabVIEW Certified Developer or LabVIEW Certified Associate Developer highly desired.
- Experience in programming microprocessors in an embedded environment.
OVERVIEW
Develop and create well documented, modular code for structured Windows, Real-Time, FPGA and embedded environments. Works with the entire engineering staff to develop and implement innovative products and applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and write code that will manage the instrument, data and analysis and present a GUI to the user.
- Understand system requirements for a particular project and develop specification documents.
- Develop software and other instrumentation to meet the project requirements.
- Provide detailed designs based on the general architecture of the system including module layout, function development, and object design.
- Conduct design review meetings.
- Implement the design by writing the software (mostly in LabVIEW) and integrating the hardware required by the specific program.
- Develop test procedures for complete debug and test of the system against the requirements and conduct verification testing.
- Provide complete documentation of the system including operations manuals, source code and any other information required.
