We are searching for a Computer Systems Engineer to participate in multidisciplinary research, and to collaborate with product designers and/or hardware engineers in the design and development of IPC Systems and System Software

LOCATION
Ann Arbor, Mi, with expected relocation to Harrisburg w/in 3 years

COMPENSATION
70-95K

REQUIRED

• Experience in embedded software for complex hardware systems
• Solid experience in Firmware development in C/C++
• Experience in leading firmware architecture for PCs
• Experience in developing system specifications and implementing them in firmware
• Knowledge of multiple PC standards (ACPI, PCIe, SATA, USB,SMBIOS,vBios, traditional and UEFI/EFI Bios etc.)

OVERVIEW
Work will include designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging of system firmware/BIOS. Candidate will work closely with other design teams and be responsible for all software and BIOS related issues during the planning, development, and validation stages of the program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Final approval testing of base Bios provided by technology partners.
• Create and review Bios specifications for configurable IPC Systems.
• Recommend possible Bios implementations for IPC system.
• Lead of base Bios architecture to support configurable IPC production assembly.
• Validate Bios for each IPC system configuration.
• Use Bios Tools to customize configurable IPC solutions.
• Create and review hardware specifications for special System requirements.
• Bring up, test and do system integration including documentation.
• Work with multiple site engineering teams to monitor and implement product specifications.
• Help define and lead the technology direction.
• Validate software utilities for IPC-systems.
• Verify OS compatibility and configuration (not just Windows).
• Verify application compatibility and configuration (not just Windows)
• Verify PC hardware compatibility (Network, Video, Industrial, CPU Chipset, etc.)
