COMPENSATION
90-120K (depending on skills and experience)

REQUIREMENTS

Solid user interface design experience for Web and/or desktop applications.

Management or leadership experience in a user interface design role.

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

• Experience with a variety of agile software development methodologies
• Proven leadership skills in an agile software development environment
• Experience managing or building enterprise applications or desktop solutions is a big plus

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Responsible for building and growing client’s UI/UX and research disciplines
• Manage a team of UI/UX designers and researchers
• Work with other development managers, development directors, project managers, developers and QA in setting strategy and resource allocation
• Work regularly with all functions of the organization in order to improve orientation and onboarding
• Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and assisting in the selection of new team candidates
• Facilitate understanding of individual, project, team, and company goals and responsibilities
• Coach/mentor direct reports and provide regular feedback on performance
• Identify training requirements and manage staffing for projects
• Ensure standards, procedures, and methodologies in the development life cycle are working productively to meet the teams objectives in coordination with the project manager
• Organize and efficiently facilitate team communications
• Learn (and stay current on) the latest changes in how to effectively manage software development teams and user experience methodologies
