We are searching for an experienced Systems Administrator who is ready to take their career to the next level as a member of our client's Tier 3 Escalation Team.

LOCATION
Ann Arbor, MI (local candidates only)

COMPENSATION
60-85K, depending on skills and experience.

REQUIRED
  • Windows System Administration experience including, for example, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, BackupExec, IIS, etc.
  • Virtualization experience
  • Experience with or understanding of Cloud
  • Must be able to function in the capacity of a technical project management or leadership role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to write simple T-SQL queries to debug stored procedures
  • Must be able to be on call nights, weekends, holidays in a rotation (currently one week out of every three)

PREFERRED
  • Technical certifications (i.e. Microsoft)

ROLE COULD INCLUDE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
  • This individual is accountable for the following systems: Linux and Windows systems that support IT infrastructure; Linux, Windows and Application systems that support Asset Management
  • Responsibilities on these systems include engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation.
  • Engineer of solutions for various project and operational needs of our clients.
  • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Install and configure new network components including servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and other devices.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards.
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.
  • Perform constant system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
