We are searching for a senior-level C# software engineer for an ongoing half-time onsite engagement. Candidate will develop software requirements, designs, code, and unit tests for instrument systems.This project will require working with electrical and mechanical engineers for the purpose of system and associated software integration.
LOCATION
Ann Arbor, MI. Work to be performed on site.
COMPENSATION
Pay rate: 45-70/hr depending upon skills and experience
This is a half time (20 hours per week) assignment that will be ongoing.
EDUCATION
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
REQUIRED
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and 3+ years of commercial C# experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows technology.
- Must understand system development from all levels.
- Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills.
WOULD BE BENEFICIAL
- Experience with, or understanding of, Raman Spectroscopy.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000, Good Manufacturing Processes, and FDA 21CFR Part 11.
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Responsible for creating/gathering requirements, design and development of current products and also new products.
- Participate in software requirements, design, and code review meetings.
- Fix software anomalies.
- Approach problems with an open mind and evaluate all solutions.
- Keep supervisor informed at all times, especially when schedules change or when a problem may change the scope of the project.
- Comply with all System Development Standards that are in place, both hardware and software.
- Shift development directions in cases of sales and marketing changes.
