LOCATION
Novi, MI
This role has a 30% travel requirement, primarily in Michigan and Ohio.
COMPENSATION
Up to 130K base salary plus generous bonus potential. Excellent benefits.

OVERVIEW
- You will manage a team of 7 presales Solutions Architects distributed throughout Michigan and Ohio.
- The technology is 70% Cisco focused with the rest comprised of EMC and VMWare.
- In this role you will be required to hire, grow and manage a team of pre-sales engineers in a fast-paced environment where the culture is 'work hard, play hard.'
- You will work with your team to vet requirements with customers and then help your team design and architect technical solutions.
- You will be expected to be solutions-oriented and to think outside the box rather than saying no and pointing out everything that's wrong and can't be done.
- A critical element of this position is a strong working relationship with sales leadership and the sales team to ensure solutions and services are aligned with the engineering team's ability and the best interest of the company.
REQUIRED
- Proven track record as a presales Solutions Architect in the managed IT, cloud and network security space.
- Excellent knowledge of Cisco products.
- Experience with EMC and VMWare products.
- Although you will be managing resources, your knowledge and skill as an architect must be good enough that you can step in, when needed, and show your team what 'good' looks like.
- Effective people management and instructing skills including: motivating, developing, coaching, directing, and identifying the best people for the job.
- Knowledge of engineering, technology, and design in the areas of VPN, Security, QoS, Remote/Local Access, Multi-Service (Voice and Video), WAN, Wireless, Data Center Storage, Compute, DPAD and Virtualization.
PREFERRED
Experience in presales engineering management is strongly preferred, but not required.
