Help Desk Professional

We are searching for a Help Desk professional to provide primary support in a mixed Windows/Macintosh environment.

Our client is a leading provider of educational software.

LOCATION
Ann Arbor, MI

COMPENSATION
55-65K (potentially higher for exceptional fit candidate).

EDUCATION
Associates or Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

REQUIRED
  • Help Desk experience in a technology environment.
  • Mac and/or Windows PC support experience.
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
  • We are looking for a friendly, dedicated, results driven individual.

LOOKING FOR A CANDIDATE WHO:
  • Organizes the day-to-day operations of the help desk.
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves complex technical problems on Windows and Mac desktops.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills and a friendly can-do attitude when working with stakeholders.
  • Exhibits problem solving and fault diagnosis skills.
  • Is able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Plans the impact of their work on other teams within IT and how the work of other IT teams impacts their work. Understands the interrelationship between IT and other technical areas (e.g. backup systems, phone systems, networking).
  • Has knowledge of the components that comprise the supported system architectures, including Mac/Windows desktop systems, network components, Internet access, and applications.
  • Typical helpdesk tasks include resetting passwords, updating and installing software, diagnosing and repairing machine issues, etc. In addition to everyday associate support, this position will support office infrastructure (phone system, network support, performing backups etc.).
