You will be joining a project team that has been developing a new Web application since the beginning of 2015. The application is now full-featured enough to merit test automation to cover the current functionality. As development continues, additional test automation will need to be added to provide full functional coverage.
LOCATION
Ann Arbor, MI. You will be expected to work on site as necessary, but most of the work will be performed as a remote/telecommute. Only candidates residing in the southeast Michigan area will be considered.
COMPENSATION/DURATION
This is an hourly contract with compensation that is commensurate with experience. The opportunity is expected to last through 2015 with a strong possibility of additional work in Q1 2016.
REQUIRED
- You must have strong experience creating test plans and test cases, with documentation or artifacts that demonstrate it.
- You must have experience as the sole QA resource on a project, performing all aspects of the QA role with little or no guidance.
- Strong experience creating test automation for ASP.NET Web applications is required.
- This role will provide plenty of work initially while the testing for the current functionality is being created. Over the longer arc of the project, there may be lulls where the work is less than full time. Your tolerance of such a schedule--either because you have another concurrent project or because you don't mind your income flexing up and down--is a requirement.
PREFERRED
- Strongly prefer an individual with a proven track record as an independent consultant on multiple concurrent engagements.
- Any experience testing an application that dynamically generates user interface screens and reports in different languages / character sets would be very valuable.
