Detroit, Mich., March 15, 2022 — Stout Systems today announced that National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) in Greater Detroit has awarded their President, Peg Bogema, a prestigious 2022 Annual Top 10 Michigan Business Women Award in Innovation. The Annual Top 10 Michigan Business Women Awards honor Michigan women business owners who are making a difference in their organizations, communities, and in business. The theme for this year is “Women on the Move.” The Innovation Award honored to Peg “recognizes gamechangers – and [Peg has] done that - for Stout Systems, for the staffing industry, women and, women in tech,” said Nicole Lewis, President of NAWBO Greater Detroit.

“The business conditions created by the COVID pandemic have pressed many business leaders to innovate in very clever ways to keep their doors open,” said Peg Bogema, President of Stout Systems. “I am honored to be recognized when there are so many noteworthy accomplishments amongst my peers.”

Stout Systems has long realized the need for a technical staffing company that prioritizes the value of the humans that make up its staff. Stout’s recruiting team of software industry veterans understands that a great company, a great job and a great candidate go hand in hand. Finding that perfect match—one that is a great career move for the candidate and a great solution for the company—is what it’s all about. They strive to build lasting relationships with every candidate they contact. That way if today’s opportunity isn’t a match, they will recognize tomorrow’s opportunity that is.

Because Stout Systems is both a software development company and a technical staffing services firm, they understand technology professionals. Stout Systems has developed an innovative 21 point screening process in which they borrow talent from their own software development team to conduct live over-the-phone technical interviews with all candidates. Unlike most temp services and staffing services, they aren’t just looking for keywords on resumes with an AI. While this may reduce the number of candidates they present to their clients, it increases the quality.

The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), headquartered in Washington, DC is the only dues-based national organization representing the interests of all women entrepreneurs in all kinds of businesses. The organization currently has 90 chapters in the United States, and is affiliated with Les Femmes Chefs d' Enterprises Mondiales (World Association of Women Entrepreneurs).

NAWBO traces its origins to a group of Washington, D.C. businesswomen who began meeting in the Spring of 1974 to talk about mutual experiences, exchange information and develop business skills. Two years later, they began recruiting members from across the country, and in 1978 the first chapters were formed. NAWBO Greater Detroit Chapter was chartered in 1980.
